Interview with Head Coach Girls Volleyball Jeff Dietrick

Jeff created time for me to take some time out his schedule for me. Jeff provides work services for Midland Dow school system and is also the head coach for the girls volleyball team. The interview was smooth and it went as follows.
What is a goal that you have for team this upcoming season?
My goal is to make it further than one game this because we loss in the first round last year. Being better than last year will always be a goal.
What is the atmosphere like for games that you play at home?
A lot of people come support the team and is great to have that from parents and the students. It is easier to play since it will be a good amount people that come support us.
What are the expectations for the upcoming season?
I expects us to be at the Saginaw title game next year and play for a championship. We have a talented team to get far and this is the year that can happen.
How is it like teaching these group of players?
Its great because that are a talented group and try to improve everyday of the season. Also they train year round and make it easier to coach girls that want to win.
How has it been to balance your job and coaching?
You have your days that are bad and good. Have to manage your time and plan for things ahead. I have a lot on my plate, but can handle it.
I read that you are married and have kids, How have it been with them with your busy schedule?
Our relationship have been great and my wife and I have a good communication. Understand each other and give each other space when we need it. I see my kids a lot and have a great bond with my kids.
Why did you become a volleyball coach?
I have a passion in training and getting along with people. Helping people is what I do and coaching fix what I like to do. I enjoy sports and volleyball is one of them and these girls are great to coach.
