Basketball Closes it's Doors and Spring Sports are Coming

Basketball is now over for both boys and girls teams. The boys basketball fought hard during the district tournament by beating Bay City Central on 3/8 which advanced them to the district championship against Mt. Pleasant. Unfortunately there season came to an end after playing a hard fought game against the Oilers. They came up short by losing 35-44 on 3/10. Great season boys and thank you seniors. Your lady Chargers had a great district run with beating Bay City Western on 3/3 to win the district championship with a score of 51-68. This was a great moment especially for the seniors who played on this team for 4 years and came so close those years and now they have the hardware. They played Marquette in the Regional semis in Gaylord on 3/7 and won 36-59. They had inspiration to win this game after one of their teammates grandfather suddenly passed and wanted to play for him. They however they came up short to lose to Flushing on 3/9 in the finals after a hard battle throughout the game with a score of 39-45. This team had nothing to be ashamed of, and was a top contender throughout the whole season. Thank you seniors and great season ladies. Now that winter sports are through, we are going to be focusing on spring sports. Baseball, softball, track and field, boys and girls lacrosse, and girls tennis. Good luck to all trying out for these sports and are continuing to work hard. We will update you all on whats coming in the next few weeks.
